The Woman Behind the Crown
Greetings! I’m Nadia Ashley, and I am honored to serve as your Miss Juneteenth Arizona 2026. I believe confidence begins from within and that every young Black girl deserves to know she is worthy exactly as she is. I enjoy expressing myself through fashion, spending time with family and friends, and finding opportunities to uplift my community. Throughout my reign, I hope to inspire others to believe in themselves, embrace their uniqueness, and always remember the words of Sheryl Lee Ralph: “People don’t have to like you. People don’t have to love you. They don’t even have to respect you. But when you look in the mirror, you better love what you see.”
Welcome to the official home of the Miss Juneteenth Arizona Scholarship Program, where we celebrate freedom, heritage, leadership, and opportunity. It is a privilege to carry forward the legacy of Juneteenth by using this platform to inspire confidence, celebrate our history, and create opportunities for the next generation of leaders. Throughout my reign, I hope to remind every young Black girl that she is worthy, capable, and powerful just as she is.
About Miss Juneteenth Arizona 2026
Miss Juneteenth Arizona 2026, Nadia Ashley, is a rising sophomore at Arizona State University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning. Her platform is dedicated to empowering Black women through confidence, leadership, and mentorship because she believes that too often Black women are taught how to survive before they are taught how to dream. Through her involvement with the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) and Boss Up ASU, Nadia works to create spaces where women of color feel seen, supported, and empowered to lead.
Beyond her commitment to service, Nadia is a fashion enthusiast who enjoys styling herself and others, using fashion as a creative outlet and a reflection of confidence, creativity, and individuality. She believes confidence is the foundation of leadership and that when young Black women are empowered to embrace who they are, they become catalysts for lasting change.
As Miss Juneteenth Arizona 2026, Nadia proudly represents the legacy of Juneteenth by inspiring others to lead boldly, dream fearlessly, and embrace every part of who they are. Her mission is simple: to ensure every young Black girl knows that her intelligence is powerful, her voice is necessary, and her presence alone is enough.
